The Problem LLC
The Problem is Bellingham’s FIRST and ONLY jazz/funk/soul/pop collective. As one of the standout bands from Bellingham, WA, we are composed of some of the city’s youngest professional musicians, ranging from 21 to 35 years of age. We perform our own unique interpretations of hundreds of jazz tunes and originals, along with a variety of pop, funk, and soul tracks that span decades!

The FOUNDATION
Founded by Bellingham trombonist and performer Samuel Harris while attending Western Washington University's school of music, The Problem was formed as an official collaboration between some of the youngest freelance jazz musicians in Bellingham. This Bellingham band serves as an outlet for creativity, musicianship, and freedom of expression, all while providing a working income for local musicians. We aim to spread Bellingham's hippest notes across the Pacific Northwest, contributing to the vibrant jazz scene in Bellingham and supporting local bands from Bellingham, WA.
